Chemist Warehouse – big job delivers award

When the Chemist Warehouse was looking for full site signage across 10 sites in seven months, we convinced them that they needed an efficient Kiwi team to hit the ground – running.

Ravniel Singh, New Zealand area manager for Chemist Warehouse, says Capitol Signs was chosen for its nationwide capabilities and the corporate work it does.

“Capitol has been good to work with as we roll out a store a month across New Zealand,” he says. “They have accommodated the speed we need to work at and having a project manager as one point of contact has been great. We have strict corporate branding and Capitol has total understanding of that process.”

Full site signage meant an average of 35 differing signage types from large illuminated, channel letter sets and 14-metre-long flex face light boxes through to printed posters and even name tags.

Chemist Warehouse wanted a one-stop-shop and a single point of contact during the aggressive rollout. We immediately initiated an online client portal to manage the rollout and ensure we matched production and delivery to expectations.

This was adjusted to included builders’ timelines, floorplans, visuals, quotes, signoffs, and installations at each stage.

We picked up on discrepancies in colour throughout the range of elements in the brand portfolio and created a New Zealand Sign Manual to ensure consistency for everything we produce for them.

We completed each project on time and have since more since. The  icing on the cake came in the New Zealand Sign Awards of Excellence 2020/21 when our work won a bronze award for corporate brand – interpretation and delivery.
